Schiaparelli

Schiaparelli's Fashion House was reopened in 2012 after being closed for over 60 years. They launched their first Couture Runway show since 1954 in 2014 during Haute Couture Week in Paris.

Elsa Schaiparelli was born in Italy in 1890. She has collaborated with the likes of Christian Lacroix, Prada, Salvador Dali and Jean Cocteau. Her bold and unusual designs have caught the eye of a plethora of famous Actresses and Socialites such as Greta Garbo, Katherine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers.

In 1934 Elsa became the first female fashion designer to feature on the cover of the American publication Time. She was also the first Fashion Designer to launch her own sunglasses range.

After such a fruitful career Elsa decided to close her Fashion House in 1954 to devote her time to writing her autobiography "Shocking Life".

Schaiparelli's fabulous designs are now created by Bertrand Guyon who launched his third collection for AW 2016/2017. We absolutely love these retro designs that were inspired by Elsa's "Circus Show" 1938, and touch on a number of themes; Surrealism, Cubism, Circus Animal, Clown costumes and Astrological charts.

A truly inspirational collection. We look forward to this new era of the amazing Schiaparelli.
