For the tenth consecutive year we were approached to organize the Chinese new year celebrations for a large Chinese investment bank. Once again we returned to the legendary Quaglinos restaurant in Mayfair to see in the year of the Dragon.

With a conference during the day, followed by the evening party the exciting challenge was transforming the venue not once, but twice within the same day. For the lunch event we converted the restaurant into a state of the art conference space with a branded set and high resolution LED screens showing company branding and visuals.

During the evening’s party we launched an amazing new technology. We wrapped the room in state of the art video cloth for which no projector is required, the images simply run through the cloth. This meant we could have Chinese dragons and other stunning custom made imagery floating around the room creating an Imax screen feel with spectacular bespoke visuals created for each segment of the evening.

The video cloth helped us to change the theme of the room throughout the evening. It went from being completely oriental as the guests arrived, through to the highlight of the evening – a full live performance by 80′s star Kim Wilde – which was emphasised by creating a disco feel using the video cloth and LED dance floor.
