Blooming Fantastic

Here at Partridge Events we had the privilege to work in conjunction with a high-end fashion store on their 2012 window display, as part of the ‘Chelsea in Bloom’ competition.

The competition happens once a year where the streets of Chelsea are filled with beautiful floral displays. Local retailers compete to have the best display in their shop window hoping to win the prestigious floral crown title.

THEME: Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

With a fabulous design sent to us from our client, it was then our role to jump on board with less than a week to go to implement it.The design was inspired by the play on the word “reign”. Where instead of seeing a throne made of flowers, two delicately dressed umbrellas layered in vines were used to shield the mannequins from the “rain”.

We supplied the the lovely team who put up the window display and produced the vinyls that were used on the windows. Words that spoke of flowers and summer were used in floral patterns to compliment the umbrellas, with floor mirrors to give the impression of puddles.

Chelsea Flower Show

Two of us from the office were lucky enough to be invited to the Chelsea Flower Show. We took the opportunity to go for a day of inspiration and the beautiful sunshine.  Below are a few pictures of the displays that caught our eye:

Some fabulous flower displays, very inspiring! Below are some of our favorites:

Partridge Events bring the outdoors in at Olympia

Here at Partridge Events we were asked by A Current Affair Event Management to design a bespoke exhibition for Olympia’s exhibition halls.

The Clients Brief:

  • Flexible, tranquil and calming spaces to get the best out of your business meetings.
  • Space free from distractions
  • Offices in the prime locations of London
  • The latest technical facilities that allow your company to grow

We wanted to create a space that would be inviting, relaxing and stand out among the other exhibitions. We were inspired by a contemporary English garden; symmetry, clean white straight lines, beautiful fresh lawn, hedges and bright red flowers to compliment the colours of the clients logo.

Not only did we want the over all look of the space to attract, we wanted thpublic to have an experience or take part in an interactive activity that would help them understand the product. After much deliberation we chose the interactive process of Colour Therapy. We wanted to show how colour can affect mood and be relevant to different people’s personalities within the working environment.

Figure 1 shows the bottles used for Colour Therapy. The attendees could choose a bottle, and be told by the therapist what the colours in the bottle best represent about them.

Now we had our theme and activity we could start designing the overall space of the exhibition stand.

The exhibition space was constructed out of real, fresh green hedges with high standing archway entrances. The central focal point of the stand was a large stunning internally lit flower pot, bedded with beautiful red flowers to grab the visitors attention. The flower pot sat on top of storage box, difficult to find in small exhibition spaces, but helped to advertise the clients logo clearly.

On one side of the exhibition space were white standing signposts that displayed the different locations in London where you can hire out the client’s bespoke office spaces. Centered between the posts were two white Pantone S chairs, a padded white table to hold the coloured bottles and a space which the therapist could work from.

The other side of the space showcased a contemporary standing Plasma screen that advertised products the client could offer.
